LOCKERS
DIFFERENTIAL
LOCKERS.
More traction for the trail. We install differential lockers for Jeeps, trucks and SUVs at our Salem shop. The choice starts with your axle and how you use the vehicle.

Selectable or automatic?
A selectable locker lets you choose when to lock the differential. An automatic locker engages through its own operation. They behave differently, so look at the road driving as well as the trail use before choosing. Our locker guide compares the options.
Find out what’s already in the axle.
The vehicle badge doesn’t tell the whole story, especially on a modified Jeep. Axle details and records of earlier work help establish what fits. If you bought it already built, bring whatever parts information came with it.
Include the rest of the axle work.
New gears on the list too? Bring that up when planning lockers. The parts need to suit the same axle and intended setup. Ask about controls, supporting equipment and operating instructions for the unit you choose.
Keep planning.

A FEW
ANSWERS.
Which locker is right for my vehicle?
The options depend on your axle, current modifications, and how you use the vehicle. Call with those details so we can discuss what fits.
Should I discuss gears at the same time?
Yes. Tell us about both upgrades when requesting an estimate so we can discuss the work together.
What affects the cost of locker installation?
The axle, locker design and supporting parts all affect the job. Ask whether the estimate covers the unit, installation, controls and any air-system components it needs. Mention planned gear changes before comparing totals.
